Though I have long been in love with the personal publishing capabilities of the web and have had a keen interest in weblogs for years. Recently this interest has taken an even greater importance as I have become involved with 5 different weblogs and have a further 3 under development. Most of these are labor's of love and some are exploring the monetization capabilities of the format. Shao Kelake brings me back to the roots of the weblog format where short commentary and linking were far more common. It's byline "off the cuff commentary and destinations of interest" only vaguely alludes to a growing collection of art, design, technology, and photography content. Currently the site pays for itself through simple Google adsense ads.
